Job Description
This role involves providing specialized adult hematology and oncology care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Responsibilities include managing a patient load of 15-18 per day, with potential for 2-4 new consults, primarily focusing on adult patients.
The position requires a strong understanding of hematology (30%) and oncology (70%), with a mix of inpatient and outpatient duties.
Key responsibilities include delivering quality patient care, collaborating with healthcare teams, and managing both new and ongoing cases.
Qualifications include relevant medical licensing, board certification or eligibility in hematology and oncology, and experience in adult patient care.
Essential skills encompass strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Additional duties involve participating in call rotation, maintaining documentation, and adhering to credentialing and privileging processes.
Support services provided include housing, travel, malpractice coverage, and a streamlined credentialing process.
