Hematologist/Oncologist - Locum Tenens

Position Overview: This role involves providing outpatient and inpatient care primarily focused on oncology and hematology for adult patients. The provider will manage a caseload of 16-20 patients daily, perform procedures such as bone marrow biopsies, administer antineoplastics, phlebotomy, IV IgG, and iron therapy, and oversee follow-up care and clinic antineoplastics.

Responsibilities

• Consultations, patient follow-ups, and clinical oversight
• Participate in a schedule Monday through Thursday, 8 am to 5 pm, with one call week/weekend per month
• Manage a mix of outpatient (95%) and inpatient (5%) cases

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience in oncology and hematology, adult patients only
• Proficiency in procedures including bone marrow biopsies
• Strong clinical, consultative, and follow-up skills
• Ability to coordinate care and oversee clinic treatments effectively
