Hematologist - Oncologist

The Southern Arizona VA Healthcare System (SAVAHCS) in Tucson, Arizona, is seeking a full-time Staff Hematologist-Oncologist to join their dedicated team. This role involves providing compassionate healthcare to veterans and offers the opportunity for a faculty appointment with the University of Arizona. The SAVAHCS is a principal teaching affiliate, providing a dynamic environment for clinical practice, education, and research.

Responsibilities

• Participate in outpatient clinic services, including fellows, clinic, and inpatient consult service

• Actively participate in quality improvement activities

• Comply with rules and regulations of the agency, facility, and department

• Support a satisfactory process for supervision and training of fellows, residents, and medical students from University of Arizona College of Medicine rotating through the Oncology Division

• Maintain American Heart Association BLS certification

• Comply with VA and SAVAHCS regulatory requirements

Compensation

• $300,000 - $348,000 annual salary

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

Requirements

• US Citizen

• Must have an active and unrestricted license in any of the US States

• MD/DO

• Completion of Residency Training in any of the US States

• BE/BC by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM)
