Healthcare Project Manager
Location: Connecticut
Employment Type: Full-Time
A well-established Connecticut General Contractor is looking to add an experienced Project Manager to its growing healthcare team. This position will oversee complex healthcare construction projects throughout Connecticut and offers the opportunity to join a highly respected contractor with a strong pipeline of work.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing hospital, healthcare, medical, or other technically complex construction projects, particularly within active or occupied environments.
Responsibilities
• Manage healthcare construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, procurement, change orders, RFIs, and submittals
• Coordinate closely with Superintendents, subcontractors, architects, engineers, and ownership
• Manage subcontractor buyout and ensure scopes are complete and clearly defined
• Maintain project financials, forecasts, and cost controls
• Lead owner and project team meetings
• Identify and resolve potential schedule, cost, and constructability issues
• Ensure projects meet strict healthcare safety, quality, and operational requirements
• Coordinate work within active and occupied healthcare environments
Qualifications
• 5+ years of Project Management experience with a General Contractor or Construction Management firm
• Healthcare construction experience strongly preferred
• Experience managing projects within active hospitals or occupied facilities is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of commercial construction, scheduling, cost control, and subcontractor management
• Ability to manage projects independently while working closely with field teams
• Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
• Procore or similar construction management software experience preferred
