Job Summary:
As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will administer ionizing radiation to patients based on physician prescriptions and guidelines. Join us in making a meaningful impact on patients' lives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Administer radiation therapy accurately according to prescriptions, maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols.
• Prepare treatment rooms and equipment with diligence, ensuring a comfortable environment for patients.
• Monitor patients for any unusual reactions during treatment and communicate findings promptly to relevant medical personnel.
• Maintain thorough documentation of patient treatments, ensuring clarity and accuracy in medical records.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to students, assisting in clinical training and practical assessments.
• Additional duties as assigned to support the department and enhance patient care.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in radiological technology (preferred); Master's Degree (preferred).
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy (AART-T) is required.
• Certification in Therapeutic Radiology Technology (RTT) is mandatory.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Fluoroscopy Permit and CPR certification are preferred.
