Emergency Department Technician

This part-time Emergency Department (ED) Technician role involves providing compassionate patient care in a high-volume Level 1 Trauma Center.

Responsibilities include assisting with blood draws, IVs, and catheter placements, utilizing advanced equipment, and communicating with healthcare teams, patients, and families.

The technician records information in the Electronic Medical Record, responds to pages and codes, and observes behavioral health concerns.

Qualifications include completion of EMT-Basic, with preferred AEMT or Paramedic training.

Relevant Experience In Emergency Settings Or EMS Is Preferred.

Certifications required are EMT-Basic license or National Registry, CPR/BLS, with advanced licenses and certifications like ACLS and PALS preferred.

Skills include excellent communication, the ability to operate medical equipment, and teamwork.

This role may involve evening, night shifts, and weekend rotations, with hours scheduled between 7:00 pm and 7:00 am.
