Job Summary And Qualifications

As an Intake Coordinator of Radiation Therapy at our facility you will be joining a team that strives to provide the very best patient care and compassionate customer service to every person they interact with. They also support one another and make it their motto to “care like family”. In this role:

• You will be responsible for assisting in the coordination of patient care.
• You will be creating and updating patient in the EMR database, verifying health insurance coverage, and advising patient on visit expectations/timelines relating to insurance requirements.
• You will manage and schedule patient referrals from local physicians and clinics.
• You will assist with scheduling procedures, consultations and other services.
• You will handle complaints and provide excellent customer service to patients and referring providers.
• You will perform standard front desk work as needed. Track patient visits and collect fees as needed.
• You will verify insurance and perform pre-authorization for visits pertaining but not limited to: CT, MA, BS, and PETS.
• You will collaborate with the team to help develop processes for effective front-end clinic flow and patient appointment management.

• Ability to keep neat, accurate records.
• Ability to follow physician’s orders.
• Effective interpersonal and patient contact skills.
