Job Description
Role: Provides direct patient care for oncology patients in a high-acuity, 32-bed unit, serving both Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) and Oncology services.
Responsibilities:
• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care within established nursing standards.
• Promote patient and family-centered care, including education on illness management and medication administration.
• Participate in activities ensuring patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and document individualized care plans collaboratively with the healthcare team, patients, and caregivers.
• Evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, cultural, and spiritual factors.
• Engage in professional development and continuous learning.
• Support a healing environment through effective communication and teamwork.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Required: Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing, RN license, and no prior experience.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, less than two years of experience.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, communication, and patient education skills.
• Ability to work safely in a high-alert environment.

It involves working 3-12 hour shifts, including nights or rotating schedules, in a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering comprehensive oncology care.
