Clinical Nurse - Interventional Radiology PACU

Role Overview:



Provides direct patient care in a fast-paced PACU environment, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, with a focus on interventional radiology cases and post/post-critical care. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, medication, and post-treatment needs. Collaborates with the interprofessional team to develop and communicate individualized care plans, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. Utilizes critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient values, cultural, and spiritual considerations. Maintains a safety-sensitive role requiring alertness and safe work practices.



Qualifications and Skills:





- Minimum of Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree in Nursing
- RN licensure required
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and 2+ years of experience
- Pre/post or critical care experience is advantageous
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to work safely and maintain constant alertness





Responsibilities include:





- Assessing and evaluating patient needs, preferences, and barriers to care
- Implementing and documenting individualized care plans with team and patient involvement
- Educating patients and families on post-treatment care and medication management
- Participating in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and professional development activities
