Chief of Staff – Start-up Advisory Firm
$70,000–$85,000 base DOE + discretionary bonus + benefits Full-time On-site 4–5 days/week, Downtown Manhattan
A growing, relationship-driven advisory firm is seeking a Chief of Staff to work directly with the senior management team.
This is an ideal opportunity for an ambitious, high-performing professional who wants significant responsibility and the opportunity to grow with an entrepreneurial firm.
Finance experience is not required. We are especially interested in candidates with experience in
start-ups, management consulting, PR, advertising, government, political campaigns, or other high-performance environments. Candidates from highly selective academic institutions are encouraged to apply.
What You'll Do
Operations & Execution
- Serve as a trusted extension of the Founder and senior team
- Manage projects, priorities, action items, scheduling, and follow-through
- Prepare briefing materials and research for important meetings
- Coordinate dinners, events, meetings, and other firm initiatives
- Maintain the firm's relationship systems, databases, and institutional knowledge
Business Development & Relationships
- Help manage and deepen relationships with founders, investors, and strategic partners
- Support introductions, follow-ups, and network development
- Help develop events, content, newsletters, and other platform initiatives
- Represent the firm professionally with external stakeholders
Who You Are
- Highly driven, curious, and eager to learn
- Exceptional organizational and project-management skills
- Strong written and verbal communicator
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and managing multiple priorities
- Extremely discreet and trustworthy
- Proactive — you see what needs to be done and do it
