Job Title: Lab Technician

Pay Rate: $25.00 to $27.00 /Hr

Duration: 12 months

Location: Madison Heights, MI





Shift: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM





Our client is a global industrial and consumer products manufacturer.

We are looking for a Lab Technician


- Under the supervision of a Senior Technician, the Technician will be expected to perform the following functions with a high level of initiative and independence.
- Operate and maintain all laboratory testing equipment associated with each test requirement within prescribed test parameters, including light maintenance.
- Enter samples to be tested, perform evaluation techniques and ratings per established test methods and use a computer for data entry and
report generation.
- Collect and record data accurately according to quality standards (standard checks/verifications).
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.


Qualifications:


- Associate's degree (or Bachelor's) in a science or technical field preferred.
- Minimum 1-2 years of lab experience; computer literate in Microsoft Office
products - word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Must work well with others in a team environment
- Must be detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.
- Must be capable of working on multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously within a demanding environment.
- Strong math skills as well as excellent communication skills, both verbally and written.
- Experience with basic tool manipulation, including mixing equipment, lab glassware, calipers and other standard lab tools.
- The ability to stand while working in the laboratory throughout most of the day.
- Must be able to lift parts in and out of chambers up to 20-30lbs.
