Join a dynamic and expanding Radiation Oncology Program at Intermountain Health! We are on the lookout for an ABR-certified or board-eligible Medical Physicist to play a vital role in our innovative and collaborative team dedicated to advancing cancer care.

In this position, you'll collaborate with a team of Medical Physicists overseeing three advanced treatment facilities: Logan Regional Hospital, McKay-Dee Hospital, and Layton Hospital. • Software: Aria R&V and Eclipse v16.1 TPS with GPU acceleration; upgrade to V18.2 by the end of 2026.
• QA Tools: Sun Nuclear SRS MapCheck, IC Profiler, Varian Portal Dosimetry, and Radformation suite.
Essential Functions
• Oversee the calibration procedures for radiation therapy equipment, ensuring compliance with the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) standards and collaboration with the Radiation Safety Officer.
• Conduct calibrations and quality control for all therapeutic radiation machines, in accordance with state regulations and AAPM standards.
• Coordinate with the Chief Therapist to ensure proper execution of simulations and treatment plans as prescribed by physicians.
• Provide routine clinical radiation therapy physicist services, consulting with oncologists and assisting in the development of treatment plans.
• Manage radioactive Materials Licenses and collaborate with the Radiation Safety Officer on brachytherapy sources.
• Participate in new technology advocacy, quality improvement, and policy development within the oncology department.
Minimum Qualifications
• Master's degree in Health or Medical Physics from an accredited institution.
• Certification from the American Board of Radiology or American Board of Medical Physics in Radiation Oncology Physics or Canadian College of Medical Physics.
• State licensure as required.
