As an Afterhours Registered Nurse, your primary responsibility will be to provide timely and comprehensive hospice care for patients and their families during evening hours, nights, and weekends. You will play a critical role in ensuring our patients receive the care they need outside of regular business hours.

Key Responsibilities:
• Triage patient needs over the phone until an in-person visit can be arranged.
• Respond swiftly and appropriately to crisis calls from patients and families after hours.
• Conduct initial nursing evaluations for hospice service eligibility within 48 hours of referral, if assigned.
• Perform afterhours visits including admissions, death visits, recertifications, and routine checks.
• Assess the physical, psychosocial, emotional, and environmental needs of patients and families, with reassessments every 15 days.
• Document problems, goals, interventions, and patient/family responses to the care provided.
• Work competently in any home environment, regardless of the client’s background or situation.

Required Qualifications:
• Current unrestricted RN licensure in your state of practice.
• Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and access to reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain it within 90 days of hire.
• At least 1 year of clinical experience.

Compensation is based on various factors, including local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications. In addition to your salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, incentive programs, equity stock purchase options, and a 401k contribution (subject to eligibility requirements). The annual salary for this position ranges from $70,832 to $106,248 based on full-time employment.
