Acute Medicine Registered Nurse (PRN) (Nights)

Role Overview:



This position involves providing direct patient care in a 26-bed Acute Care Medicine unit, managing a diverse patient population with complex clinical issues. The nurse will assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans, promoting patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include educating patients and families, coordinating care across multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring effective communication. The role emphasizes professional development, leadership, collaboration, and service excellence within a safety-sensitive environment.



Qualifications & Skills:





- Graduate of Nursing Diploma/Associate's program or higher; RN license required
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and ≥2 years of experience
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, communication, and patient education skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to complex clinical situations
- Commitment to safety and quality standards





Key Duties:





- Provide comprehensive nursing care aligned with standards and patient needs
- Develop and document individualized care plans with interdisciplinary collaboration
- Educate patients and families on illness management and post-discharge needs
