Acute Medicine Pulmonary Registered Nurse - Nights

Role Overview:



This position involves providing high-quality nursing care for patients with acute medical conditions, working closely with physicians and healthcare teams to deliver effective treatment. It emphasizes patient-centered care, education on illness management, safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. The nurse will develop, implement, and document individualized care plans, assessing physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs while respecting patient values and barriers. The role requires promoting a healing environment, advocating for patient safety, and participating in professional development.



Qualifications & Skills:





- Minimum education: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree; Bachelor’s preferred
- Licenses: RN license required
- Experience: New nurses welcome; 2+ years preferred
- Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work safely and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- Comfortable educating patients and families on care management
- Safety-sensitive position requiring alertness and safety focus





Key Duties:





- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, and evaluation
- Educate patients and families on managing health and post-treatment needs
- Participate in safety, quality improvement, and professional growth activities
- Develop and communicate individualized care plans with team members
