What are the most common behavioral-based job interview questions?

Now that you know what #behavioralinterview #jobinterviews Questions sound like and how to use the #starmodel to answer them, you’re probably wondering what questions you’ll likely get. Well, today we’re going to go over the ten #mostcommon themes of the #questions and an #example or two for each.

1◼ Emotional Intelligence. An example question might be: "Tell me about a time when you had a disagreement with a colleague and how you handled it." What they are looking for is your ability to navigate this difficult situation while maintaining, even strengthening the relationship.

2◼ Time Management. Example questions could be: "Describe a time when you had to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines." Or “Tell me about a time you have to come up to speed on something very quickly.” They are looking for someone who can prioritize their time and be efficient with it.

3◼ tufantips : Problem Solving: Examples of questions they might ask are: “Tell me about a time when you came up with the strategy for something.” Or “Describe a time you have to make a tough decision.” What they are targeting here is that you are a strategic thinker that has a history of creative and/or sound decision making.

4◼ Adaptability: A common example here is: "Tell me about a time when you had to adapt to a significant change at work." In Pharma change is constant, so they want to make sure that you can adapt to a dynamically changing environment.

5◼ Passion for Achievement: One example of this type of question would be: "Can you describe a time when you set a challenging goal for yourself and how you went about achieving it?" They are looking for people who are self-starters with the work ethic and passion to be a high-achiever.

6◼ Communication: Here’s something they may ask you: "Give me an example of a time when you had to explain a complex concept to someone who was unfamiliar with it." Your presentation is one way for you to really demonstrate your ability here. We have multiple videos about how to rock your presentation, so check those out.

7◼ Customer Service: Be prepared to answer something like this: "Describe a time when you had to deal with a difficult KOL." A big part of the MSL role is managing KOL relationships by resolving issues and providing excellent service.

8◼ Judgement: Judgement questions typically target your ethic like: "Tell me about a time when you faced an ethical dilemma at work." What they are looking for is gauging your moral compass and your level of integrity and responsibility.

9◼ Leadership: A question targeting leadership could be as simple as "Tell me about a time when you had to work closely with others to achieve a goal." But also be prepared to answer, “Tell me about a time where you were not the lead on a project.” They want to make sure you can lead but also follow because you’ll be asked to do both.

10◼ Teamwork: If they don’t think you’re a good teammate, you will not get the job, so be prepared to talk about time you collaborated. A question might be, "Describe a situation where you had to collaborate with a team member who had a different working style than yours."
