About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President for Translational Medicine and Clinical Biomarkers. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and owning the enterprise-wide translational medicine and clinical biomarker strategy across the company's oncology and immunology pipeline. This includes designing and implementing predictive biomarker strategies, serving as a key member of the R&D leadership team, and representing the company in external scientific forums. The role demands a leader with a Ph.D. in a relevant life sciences discipline, at least 15 years of experience in translational medicine and/or clinical biomarker research, and a proven track record of leading translational programs from IND through proof-of-concept. The VP will also be accountable for the operational excellence of the translational medicine function, including managing the budget, and resource allocation, and ensuring the scientific rigor and regulatory defensibility of biomarker program development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in immunology, oncology, or a related field, and a deep understanding of translational biomarker strategy. Experience with advanced biomarker technologies and a publication record in the scientific community are essential. The role requires a leader who can influence at the executive level, is adept at building and managing high-performing teams, and is committed to the values of the company. A hands-on approach, the ability to drive a program from hypothesis to regulatory submission, and a focus on both scientific and people development are key attributes.
