Urologist - Teaching Hospital
Moultrie, GA | $360,000 to $550,000 guaranteed base salary plus bonus | Full-time
A 155-bed community teaching hospital in Moultrie, Georgia is hiring a full-time Urologist to join its employed physician group. The clinic is next to the hospital, and the role splits time evenly between clinic and the operating room. Teaching medical students and residents is part of the role, and call is 7 days per month.
Schedule
Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with an even split between clinic and OR. Call is 7 days per month, with extra pay for additional call.
Compensation
$360,000 to $550,000 guaranteed base salary, with a 3% annual cost-of-living increase, plus a bonus based on practice profits.
What You'll Do
You will provide full-scope general urology care in a community hospital setting. Stone disease is treated with ESWL and Holmium and Thulium laser lithotripsy. Prostate enlargement is treated with a range of options, including UroLift, Rezum, Aquablation, TURP, and HoLEP.
You will manage urologic cancers, using MRI fusion prostate biopsy among other diagnostic tools, and treat urinary tract infections and erectile dysfunction, including penile implant surgery. Office and outpatient procedures include vasectomy, male sling placement, cystoscopy, urodynamics, and urologic ultrasound.
You will also precept medical students and residents in clinic and the OR. The hospital's Medical Education Center supports teaching and continuing education.
Required Qualifications
• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Completion, or upcoming completion, of an ACGME-accredited urology residency
• Board certified or board eligible with the American Board of Urology, with certification required within five years of hire if board eligible
• Active Georgia medical license, or eligibility through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact
• Current DEA registration, or the ability to obtain one
• Current BLS and ACLS certification
• Ability to obtain hospital privileges
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with HoLEP, Aquablation, or other advanced BPH procedures
• Experience with laser lithotripsy and MRI fusion prostate biopsy
• Penile prosthesis and male sling experience
• Interest in teaching medical students and residents
• Fellowship training in endourology, urologic oncology, or reconstructive urology
