Key Responsibilities
• Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, and supportive medications according to established protocols.
• Conduct ongoing oncology-focused assessments and monitor for any treatment side effects and complications.
• Safely manage central venous access devices and IV therapies.
• Respond effectively to oncologic and treatment-related emergencies by applying evidence-based practices.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, potential side effects, and effective symptom management.
• Collaborate closely with oncologists and interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care.
• Consistently document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health records (EHR).
• Adhere to infection control standards, safety protocols, and chemotherapy handling regulations.
• Adapt seamlessly to new hospital environments, policies, and workflows as a travel nurse.
• Champion a culture of compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining professional integrity.
