Travel Ultrasound Tech - $2,108 Per Week In Denver, CO

Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist Profession: Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience License: Active CO licensure Certifications: BLS, ARDMS, RVT Description: TRAVEL - Ultrasound Technologist needed for a night shift. Unit Information: The unit services a variety of ultrasound procedures. The facility has a total of 422 beds. The staff consists of a small team of Sonographers. The day shift includes 3 general Sonographers, while the night shift has 1 Sonographer. We maintain manageable patient ratios. The primary equipment used includes GE and Phillips ultrasound machines. Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system utilized is Meditech. Candidates must have a minimum of 6 months current Sonographer experience. A BLS certification, along with ARDMS and RVT credentials, is required. Preferred qualifications include neonatal head experience. Typical procedures performed include abdominal and pelvic scans, as well as lower extremity duplex (venous and arterial) assessments. Ideal candidates will be able to work independently and communicate effectively with nursing and medical staff. Candidates should demonstrate good practices for hand-off to oncoming staff. There is a call schedule for Saturday nights only, with every 6 weeks rotation. The work environment is relaxed with a variable workload of 8-15 scans per 12-hour shift. The atmosphere is small and supportive, fostering a family-like environment. This position offers easy access to outdoor activities and a pleasant climate.
