Surgical Oncology Nurse

Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Surgical Oncology Nurse to join our team in a dynamic inpatient environment. This position involves working with surgical oncology patients requiring telemetry care.

Shift Details

• 5x8 rotating shifts with day and night rotations

• 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts available

• Patient ratios: 1:4-1:5 during the day and 1:6 at night

Unit Information
The unit consists of a 30-bed telemetry area specializing in ENT, colorectal, and urology surgical oncology inpatient care, including step-down patients.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will hold a valid nursing license and meet the following credential requirements:

• MMR vaccination

• Fit test completion

• Hepatitis B vaccination

• Varicella vaccination

• Tdap vaccination

• Annual negative PPD or required TB testing

Professional Requirements
Additional professional requirements include:

• I-9 attestation

• Education verification

• Employment verification

• Criminal background check

• OIG search

• Drug screening

Core Competencies
Candidates must complete a skills checklist and competency exam specific to surgical oncology nursing.

Personal Health Requirements
A health statement verifying physical capability to perform essential job functions is also required.
