American Traveler is seeking an experienced Pediatric Oncology RN with active MN licensure and CPHON certification for a day-shift, weekday-only travel contract.

• Pediatric Hematology/Oncology unit setting,
• Patients include pediatric oncology population receiving chemotherapy, blood products, and infusion therapies,
• 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday,
• No weekend shifts required,
• No on-call responsibilities,
• EMR: Cerner,

Job Requirements

• Active MN RN license or MN Temporary Permit required,
• Current BLS certification required,
• Current PEARS or PALS certification required,
• Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Provider certification required,
• CPHON (Certified Pediatric Hematology Oncology Nurse) certification required,
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with a pediatric Hematology/Oncology patient population required,
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required,

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include assessing pediatric patients before, during, and after chemotherapy and infusion treatments,
• Administer chemotherapy, blood products, and supportive medications while monitoring for side effects and adverse reactions,
• Manage central lines including ports and PICCs using sterile technique,
• Provide pain, symptom, and supportive care addressing nausea, fatigue, and related concerns,
• Educate patients and families on treatments, side effects, and home care expectations,
• Collaborate with oncologists and interdisciplinary care teams,
• Document care, medication administration, and patient responses accurately in Cerner
