Key Responsibilities of the Respiratory Therapist


- Establish patient ventilator settings using metric measurements and advanced principles of volume, flow, pressure, and time relationships
- Utilize knowledge of acid/base/electrolyte relationships and implications of life-threatening situations




Requirements of the Respiratory Therapist


- Graduate of an AMA accredited school for Respiratory Care
- NY State license
- RRT Registered by National Board for Respiratory Care
- BLS and ACLS required
- NRP and PALS preferred
