Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - $2,092 Per Week In Saint Joseph, MO

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (06:00 - 18:30) Experience: Minimum of 1 year required License: RRT Certifications: BLS, RRT Must-Have: - Charge experience preferred - Experience with patient ratio of 12-16 preferred - Charting system experience (Epic) required Description: RRT position with 3x12 day shifts. Weekend shifts required (minimum of 2 per 4-week schedule). Willingness to work additional weekend shifts as needed. Block scheduling may be available. Required certifications include BLS and RRT (CRT not accepted). Candidates should have a minimum of 1 year of experience. Expected patient ratio in the unit is 12-16. First-time travelers are accepted. Requests for time off are limited to 2 per contract. Scrubs can be of any color. Preferred experience includes: - Charge experience - Community hospital experience - LTAC experience - Trauma Level I and II experience - Previous travel experience Necessary skills for this role include: - Adult critical care - Emergency department procedures - Extubation and intubation assistance - Airway placement and suctioning - Pulmonary hygiene techniques - Management of various respiratory conditions and treatments - Interpretation of arterial blood gases - Knowledge of and experience with specific respiratory equipment and therapies The facility serves a diverse patient population. Common diagnoses include COPD, asthma, neurologic and respiratory distress, Covid, and cardiac patients. Interdisciplinary support includes various healthcare professionals and departments. Daily census in the facility is approximately 270 patients. Available equipment includes advanced respiratory support systems and monitoring devices.
