Travel RN – Oncology / BMT (Bone Marrow Transplant)

Location: Medical City Dallas – Dallas, TX
Shift: Night (19:00–07:00)
Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) for a high-acuity Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) and Oncology unit. The RN will provide specialized care to patients undergoing chemotherapy, stem cell transplants, and CAR-T therapy while working in a fast-paced acute care environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide direct care to oncology and BMT patients
• Administer and manage chemotherapy safely (ONS standards)
• Care for transplant patients (autologous, allogeneic, haploidentical, matched/unmatched)
• Support CAR-T therapy patients
• Perform advanced assessments and monitor patient status
• Interpret telemetry and assist with IV drip titration (PCU-level care)
• Educate patients and families on treatment and side effects
• Document care using Meditech EMR
• Follow safety protocols and participate in bedside shift reporting
Required Qualifications
• Active RN license
• Oncology nursing experience required
• BLS and ACLS required
• ONS Chemotherapy Certification required prior to start
• Ability to care for PCU-level acuity patients
• Telemetry interpretation skills
Preferred
• BMT experience
• CAR-T experience
• Travel nursing experience
• Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
Unit Overview
• 40-bed Oncology/BMT unit
• Nurse ratio: ~1:3 (up to 1:4 based on staffing)
• Support staff: PCTs + unit clerks (day shift)
• Equipment: bedside monitors, lift assist devices
• EMR: Meditech
• Travelers float first
