Responsibilities

• Deliver prescribed radiotherapy using radiation therapy equipment according to physician orders and established standards
• Verify patient history, diagnosis, chart, and identification; answer questions and monitor for unusual reactions during treatment
• Prepare room and equipment; position immobilized patients and ensure patient comfort and safety during treatments
• Coordinate with physicists, nurses, and other care team members; document evaluation results and progress as required
• Perform verification and port film exposures; implement physician-directed changes to therapy as needed
• Reinforce care instructions and educate patients on treatment-related effects and self-care

Requirements

• Education: Minimum associate degree in radiography with certification in radiation therapy; Bachelor’s degree in radiation therapy preferred; graduate of a JRCERT-approved program; ARRT registration
• Licenses/Certifications: State of Ohio licensed radiation therapist; ARRT license; CPR certification. Ohio Department of Health license preferred upon submission
• Experience: 1–2 years of radiation therapy experience preferred
• Additional: TrueBeam/ARIA experience preferred; ability to work in a fast-paced clinical setting; strong communication and problem-solving skills
