Days, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday
Summary

The Radiation Therapist performs radiation therapy and radiographic procedures involving the application of X-rays and radioactive substances to patients. This role involves operating specialized X-ray equipment as prescribed by physicians, maintaining treatment records, and preparing operational reports as required.
Responsibilities
• Provide quality patient care in relation to patients' prescribed diagnoses, treatments, age groups, and developmental needs.
• Perform all duties related to the administration of a prescribed course of Radiation Therapy.
• Maintain, store, and order supplies and equipment as necessary.
Patient Population

This position involves working with patients suffering from cancer and osteoarthritis. The work may include Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT), Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), basic radiation therapy, and breath-hold treatments. Candidates should be proficient in operating Trilogy and/or Trubeam machines.
Requirements
• Associate Degree in a relevant field.
• LSRTBE certification in Radiation Therapy for Louisiana.
• RADTH ARRT certification.
• BLS certification from AHA.
• Experience: A minimum of 1 year in a similar role.
Nurse/Patient Ratio

The nurse/patient ratio is two therapists per machine, seeing 15-25 patients each day.
Dress Code

Preferred attire includes olive green pants and black shirts.
