Radiation Therapist
Job Description
The Radiation Therapist is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care through radiation therapy treatments. Key responsibilities include performing treatment simulations, fabricating necessary shielding blocks, and maintaining accurate electronic medical records (EMR). The therapist prepares equipment for patient treatments while executing quality control and assurance tests, adhering to infection control techniques, and following optimal radiation safety and protection practices. All activities reflect the philosophy, objectives, and standards of care within the oncology specialty, promoting quality patient care and environmental safety in a collaborative interdisciplinary setting.
Responsibilities
• Deliver radiation therapy treatments to patients in accordance with established protocols.
• Conduct treatment simulations and fabricate shielding blocks as required.
• Maintain and update accurate EMR documentation.
• Prepare and verify equipment for patient treatment sessions, performing necessary quality control and assurance tests.
• Adhere to infection control techniques, radiation safety, and protection standards.
• Collaborate professionally with medical staff to ensure quality patient care.
Qualifications
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in radiation therapy.
• ARRT Certification (Radiation Therapy) required.
• BLS Certification from AHA required.

Schedule
Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
Weekend Requirements: None.
