Job Summary:

A Pediatric Hematology-Oncology and Pediatric Infusion nurse is needed in Washington, DC. This position involves providing specialized patient care within the pediatric sub-specialties unit, including administering therapies, managing symptoms, and collaborating with outpatient partners. Candidates are required to bring their license and certifications, including Basic Life Support (BLS), on the first day.

Job Details:

• Location: Washington, DC

• Schedule: Days, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week

• Required Qualifications: Valid license with certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Hematology-Oncology (APHON)

• Certifications: BLS, APHON

• Additional Information:

• Unit type: Pediatric Hematology-Oncology and Pediatric Infusion, Pediatric Sub-Specialties

• Responsibilities include accessing/de-accessing ports, initiating IV and therapies, infusion therapy, chemotherapy administration, immunotherapy, blood products, therapeutic phlebotomy, pain and symptom management, injections, patient teaching, care coordination via phone and electronic medical record (EMR), vaccines, and record transfer.

• Float department (if needed): Pediatrics/Infusion/Pediatric Sub-Specialties

• Must have a valid license and certifications as specified

• EMR experience required
