We’re seeking an experienced Oncology Travel RN to join a leading healthcare facility for an exciting travel assignment. This role is ideal for a compassionate, skilled nurse who is comfortable caring for patients undergoing cancer treatment and working in a fast-paced oncology environment.
Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult oncology and hematology patients.
• Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, blood products, and other treatments according to facility protocols.
• Monitor patients for treatment-related complications and adverse reactions.
• Perform assessments, medication administration, and ongoing patient monitoring.
• Collaborate with oncologists, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, and the multidisciplinary care team.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, symptoms, and follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow infection-control and patient-safety standards.
Requirements
• Active RN license in the assignment state.
• 1 year of recent oncology/hematology nursing experience.
• Current BLS certification.
• Chemotherapy/biotherapy certification
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred but not required.
