Job Summary:

The outpatient infusion nurse position in Fairfax, Virginia, requires candidates to bring their license on the first day. This role involves administering chemotherapy, biotherapy, blood products, enzyme replacement, and various infusions in an outpatient setting. The position supports a busy clinic with an average of 180-200 patients daily and requires a focus on patient education, symptom management, and care coordination.

Job Details:

• Location: Fairfax, Virginia

• Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, typically from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM

• Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours

• Required Qualifications: Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and chemo/biotherapy card, 2 years outpatient infusion experience, with proven true chemo infusion expertise. Candidates must have ambulatory oncology experience and experience with Epic electronic health records. Epic experience preferred.

• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Beacon EMR.

• Experience or 'Must Have' Skills: Must have at least 2 years of outpatient infusion experience, particularly with true chemo infusions.

• Float: First to float to other campus infusion centers, with floating typically not required unless absolutely necessary and if the traveler agrees.

• Additional Information: Clinical technicians are available to place IVs and draw blood. Candidates must be flexible, create a positive environment for clients, and have excellent relationship-building skills.

• Shift Expectations: 12 hours per day, every other weekend, with one major and one minor holiday.
