Travel Nuclear Medicine Tech - $2,646 Per Week In Flint, MI

Job Title: Technologist Profession: Technologist Specialty: Nuclear Medicine Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Monday-Friday Hours per Shift: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM Experience: Minimum Years of Experience Required License: Registered in Nuclear Medicine with the ARRT or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) Certifications: BLS, ARRT Must-Have: Graduation from an AMA-approved school of nuclear medicine Description: Responsible for performing all aspects of patient exam activities in nuclear medicine. Produces high-quality images consistent with established policies and procedures. Operates and maintains all assigned nuclear scanning imaging equipment to ensure proper functionality. Performs diagnostic studies, including measuring and preparing concentrations of radioactive isotopes in specified body areas. Obtains patient history, explains standard procedures, and addresses patient concerns. Fosters a sense of comfort and confidence in patients to ensure their needs are met. Properly identifies, prepares, and/or administers medications/substances within the technologist's scope of practice. Completes quality assurance processes and practices radiation safety to reduce exposure to patients and staff. Maintains all required documentation, logs, charts, forms, and records in paper and electronic formats. Maintains an adequate supply of all consumables needed for quality testing. Performs routine daily, weekly, monthly, and periodic maintenance and function checks for all imaging equipment. May assist other areas of radiology as assigned. Performs other related duties as required.
