Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Oncology Nurse in an outpatient infusion setting. This role involves providing competent clinical nursing care to patients receiving chemotherapy and immunotherapy, coordinating interdisciplinary patient care, and supporting patient education and emotional needs. The position requires a focus on complex patient populations within a hospital setting, ensuring safety, quality, and optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:
• Schedule: Days, 8-hour shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Nursing Diploma or ADN/ASN from an accredited school of Nursing; Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers (American Heart Association or American Red Cross); at least 2 years of outpatient chemotherapy/immunotherapy infusion experience; Epic electronic health record experience; minimum 2 years of nursing experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: BSN or MSN from an accredited school of Nursing; Oncologic Nursing Certification (e.g., ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certification).
• Additional Information: The role involves performing chemotherapy and biotherapy infusions, blood product administration, IV iron and fluid management, port lab draws and injections, and patient/family education and support. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in care prioritization, patient assessment, discharge planning, interdisciplinary collaboration, and research application.
