About the Program
This is an unpaid, part-time (~20 hours/week, 24 weeks) structured Training Program in Project Management for AI Compliance Consulting. Fully remote — candidates may work from anywhere within the United States (Dolpa's office is in San Jose, CA).
This is a mentor-led educational program, not employment. The trainee performs no services for Dolpa or its clients; all exercises use fictional scenarios, simulated engagements, and public materials.
What You Will Do
Under weekly 1:1 mentorship, the trainee will:
- Build and run a mock consulting project end to end — project plans, schedules, milestone tracking, status reports, risk and issue logs
- Prepare a complete mock proposal responding to an expired public RFP, including compliance matrices and go/no-go analysis
- Conduct structured research on AI regulations and standards (HIPAA, SOC 2, ISO 42001, NIST AI RMF) and produce clear written summaries
- Design and publish a small research study under their own name
- Develop project management templates and workflows as portfolio artifacts they own outright
The program includes written module evaluations and a certificate of completion.
Qualifications
- Ability to manage tasks, timelines, and deliverables, with strong organizational and project management fundamentals
- Capacity to conduct structured research on regulations, standards, and AI-related topics, and summarize findings clearly
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including concise reports and documentation
- Comfort with digital collaboration and project-tracking tools (spreadsheets, task boards)
- Attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive, self-directed approach — approximately 80% of the program is independent work reviewed weekly
- Interest in AI, technology policy, or regulatory compliance; prior coursework or self-study beneficial
- Preferred: completion of or enrollment in a degree program in project management, business, law, public policy, or a related field
F-1/OPT Candidates
The program is structured as degree-related training at approximately 20 hours/week. Applicants are responsible for confirming suitability with their DSO and for their own SEVP reporting.
