ROLE: Training & Development (T&D) Advisor

LOCATION: Whiting, Indiana

TYPE: Contract - Onsite





This job description is for a Training & Development (T&D) Advisor, a role that combines
training delivery, program management, compliance oversight, and instructional design. The position is focused on ensuring employees and contractors have the skills and qualifications needed to perform their work safely, effectively, and in compliance with company requirements.





Training Delivery






- Facilitate classroom and virtual training sessions.
- Lead workshops, practical exercises, demonstrations, and simulations.
- Conduct learner assessments and evaluate knowledge retention.
- Support employee onboarding and workforce development initiatives.
- Create engaging learning experiences using adult learning principles






Training Program Management






- Coordinating training schedules, instructors, classrooms, and resources.
- Managing compliance and mandatory training requirements.
- Maintaining LMS assignments and training records.
- Developing training metrics, dashboards, and KPI reporting.
- Measuring program effectiveness through assessments, observations, and learner feedback.
- Supporting audits, compliance reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.






Instructional Design & Content Development






- Applying instructional design frameworks such as ADDIE.
- Developing and updating training materials.
- Aligning content with operational, regulatory, and business requirements.
- Incorporating blended learning approaches and digital learning technologies.
- Utilizing adult learning theory to improve learner engagement and performance.






Required Qualifications Education






- Bachelor's degree in:
- Education
- Instructional Design
- Human Resources
- Organizational Development
- Related discipline
- Equivalent experience may be accepted.






Experience






- 5+ years of training, learning, or workforce development experience.
- Experience managing training programs and compliance requirements.
- Experience creating instructor-led and digital learning content.






Technical Knowledge






- Learning Management Systems (Cornerstone, SuccessFactors, or similar).
- Microsoft Office tools.
- Adult learning methodologies.
- Instructional design principles.
- Competency and qualification management processes.
- Training effectiveness evaluation.
