Toxicology Study Director

Responsibilities


- Serve as an independent Study Director, maintaining full responsibility for the technical execution, oversight, interpretation, and reporting of GLP and nonclinical studies
- Lead study planning and protocol development by collaborating with sponsors, scientists, and key stakeholders to ensure study objectives are clearly defined and regulatory requirements are met
- Coordinate all phases of nonclinical studies, working closely with internal teams, external vendors, clients, and regulatory bodies, including IACUC submissions and approvals
- Monitor study progress, communicate milestones, manage client interactions and site visits, and ensure sponsors are informed of study status, results, deviations, and corrective actions
- Ensure data integrity, regulatory compliance, and quality standards by overseeing accurate data collection, evaluating protocol deviations, responding to QA audits, and maintaining GLP compliance
- Interpret and integrate study data independently, prepare high-quality scientific reports, and ensure proper archiving of all study documentation, raw data, specimens, and final reports






Qualifications


- Bachelor's degree in Toxicology or a related scientific discipline; advanced degrees (MS or PhD) are preferred, with corresponding levels of professional experience
- 5 to 8 years of relevant industry experience with a BS degree, or 6 months to 5 years of experience with an MS or PhD
- Prior experience in reproductive toxicology, safety pharmacology, and/or metabolic disease research is highly preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, with strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interpret complex scientific and regulatory data






Salary: $80k-$120k
