Key Responsibilities
• Treatment Delivery: Safely and accurately administer prescribed radiation therapy treatments in accordance with oncology protocols and nationally accepted standards of practice.
• Simulation & Setup: Perform precise treatment simulations and fabricate all required patient-specific shielding blocks.
• Quality Assurance: Prepare advanced clinical equipment for daily patient treatments, performing required quality control and assurance testing.
• Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to optimal radiation safety, protection practices, and proper infection control techniques to maintain an environmentally safe clinical workspace.
• Clinical Documentation: Maintain highly accurate, clear, and timely patient records within the electronic medical records (EMR) platform.
• Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Maintain strong, professional working relationships with the oncology medical staff and broader healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.
Candidate Requirements & QualificationsExperience & Technical Skills
• Clinical Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of dedicated Radiation Therapist experience [Required].
• Contract/Platform Expertise: Minimum of 1 year of travel experience OR hands-on post-graduation work experience utilizing Varian and ARIA platforms [Required].
• Preferred Technology: Prior experience working with TrueBeam, ARIA, and Trilogy software/hardware configurations is [Highly Preferred].
Licensure & Certifications
• Core Registration: Active registration as a Radiation Therapist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists—ARRT (T) [Required].
• Life Support: Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) [Required].
