Senior Tax Manager
Austin, TX Hybrid
A high-growth consumer brand is seeking a Tax Manager or Senior Tax Manager to join its corporate finance team in Austin. This is a highly visible role reporting directly to the CFO and will serve as the organization's primary tax leader.
The ideal candidate will bring a mix of public accounting and industry experience, with deep expertise across domestic and international tax matters. This position offers the opportunity to influence tax strategy, support executive decision-making, and partner closely with leadership as the business continues to evolve and grow.
Responsibilities
- Lead domestic and international tax initiatives across the organization
- Oversee income tax, withholding tax, sales and use tax, and related compliance activities
- Develop and execute tax planning strategies that support business objectives
- Advise leadership on tax implications of operational and strategic decisions
- Manage transfer pricing matters and related documentation
- Support tax-efficient cash repatriation and global tax structuring initiatives
- Analyze and leverage NOLs and other tax attributes
- Partner with finance and operational leaders on future-state tax planning
- Collaborate with external advisors and auditors
- Identify process improvements and opportunities to enhance efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 7+ years of progressive tax experience
- Strong background in domestic and international taxation
- Experience with tax planning and strategic tax initiatives
- Transfer pricing experience strongly preferred
- Advanced Excel skills
- Ability to communicate complex tax matters to non-tax stakeholders
- Proven ability to operate independently and work directly with executive leadership
