System Engineer

Systems Engineer – Aerospace

📍 Location: Irvine, CA

⏳ Duration: 6+ Months Contract

Position Summary:

Seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to provide technical leadership in systems engineering, product development, and new technology integration. The role will focus on requirements management, system analysis, testing, design reviews, and solving complex engineering challenges.

Key Responsibilities:


- Lead complex systems engineering projects and technical design reviews.
- Develop, analyze, validate, and manage system requirements with bidirectional traceability.
- Conduct system analysis, trade studies, functional/performance testing, and technical evaluations.
- Research and integrate new technologies to improve product performance and cost.
- Prepare technical proposals, presentations, and engineering documentation.
- Collaborate with customers, management, and cross-functional engineering teams.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance on major projects.


Requirements:


- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline; Master’s preferred.
- 7+ years of relevant systems engineering experience.
- Aerospace industry experience required.
- Thermal Systems experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9000/9001, and applicable regulations.
- Practical MBSE experience; Cameo experience preferred.
- Strong requirements management, systems analysis, testing, and technical communication skills.
- Experience with engineering design and data analysis tools.
- Ability to lead complex projects and communicate effectively with customers and senior management.
