Job Description

At Eisai, our human health care (hhc) mission drives everything we do — focusing on unmet medical needs and enhancing the benefits healthcare delivers to patients, families, and caregivers. We are a growing pharmaceutical company making strides in neurology and oncology, with a strong emphasis on research and development. Our history includes the development of many innovative medicines, including the world's most widely-used treatment for Alzheimer’s disease. As we expand, we are looking for highly motivated individuals eager to work in a fast-paced environment and make a real difference.

## The Role

This field-based position covers the Richmond, VA territory. As a Senior Oncology Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for meeting and exceeding sales goals by promoting our oncology therapeutic products in a compliant and appropriate manner. You will represent and promote assigned brands in the oral markets, targeting Medical Oncologists, Hematologists, Endocrinologists, nurses, and other key healthcare professionals. Your work will ensure that customers learn about the efficacy and safety of our products consistent with FDA-approved labeling.

## Key Responsibilities

You will conduct ongoing territory and market analysis to understand customer needs, preferences, and local market dynamics. You’ll build and maintain relationships with prescribers and decision-makers, delivering clinical, efficacy, and safety messaging along with information about product access and safe administration. Working with internal cross-functional partners — including Oncology Thought Leader Liaisons and Field Reimbursement Managers — you will align efforts with customer needs in a compliant way. Other duties include collaborating with leaders to develop territory business strategies, driving pull-through within Integrated Delivery Networks, monitoring operating costs, and seeking mentorship to build key sales skills.

## Qualifications and Experience

For the Senior level, we require a minimum of 3+ years of relevant specialty sales experience (device sales or related therapeutic area; oncology sales experience is highly preferred). You should have a proven track record of successfully managing a sales portfolio and a demonstrated ability to plan and revise tactics based on external trends, market opportunities, and competitor landscape. A Bachelor’s degree is required. We also prefer experience in hospital and large account sales, documented success in competitive environments, and familiarity with relevant customer business, disease states, product prescribing information, and regulatory/compliance guidelines (including Ph. RMA Code, Anti

- Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, etc.). Strong skills in building professional relationships, business analytics, communication, and presentation are essential.

## Work Arrangement and Travel

This is a field-based role requiring up to 70% travel, including overnight travel for conferences, training, and sales meetings. A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are mandatory. As a condition of employment, you must be able to engage in-person with healthcare professionals and third parties at their offices and other appropriate locations on a regular basis. You may also need to complete third-party credentialing and entry requirements, which often include proof of vaccinations. Reasonable accommodations will be considered for medical or religious reasons.

## Compensation and Benefits

The annual base salary range for this position is $151,040 to $198,200. Final pay depends on factors like experience, education, knowledge, and skills. You will be eligible to participate in our Sales Incentive Plan. Employees also enjoy a comprehensive benefits package — visit [Eisai Careers](https://careers.eisai.com/us/en/compensation-and-benefits) for details.
