Direct site to ensure integrated site operations and participate with senior Biologics management to formulate current and long-range plans, objectives, and policies. Fully manage site budget. Interact internally and externally with senior management to achieve the overall goals. Support business development in the interaction of clients. Lead people efforts that provide effective recruiting, employee retention, and engagement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide leadership in the overall management and performance of the site.
• Have overall responsibility for the development and implementation of the vision and strategy as well as budgets for the site.
• Have the intellectual curiosity to learn new products and technologies and be a creative problem solver.
• Ensure organization is expert on products and understand the ramifications of any changes to development programs and manufacturing processes.
• Lead a large matrixed organization. Lead at talent management and proactively work to ensure the organization has the right structure and competencies to meet the current and future needs of the business. Be passionate about talent acquisition and development and maintain a respectful, diverse and inclusive culture that attracts top talent to the company.
• Create an energizing work environment where people can learn and develop, build a career and engage with their co-workers.
• Work with other senior leaders to identify new business opportunities for internal or external development. This role will have extensive client interaction and will excel at presenting the organization’s capabilities.
• Manage the P&L and budgets of the organization with thoughtful cost controls and well-defined approach to capital investments.
• Ensure the operations are fully compliant with all regulatory policies, practices, and procedures.
• Establish and actively manage KPI’s for the operation. Build a culture with high accountability.
• Provide business support structure for Global IT enhancements and developments.
• Drive operational excellence through the application of new technologies and automation.
• Contribute to the development of short and long-range operational objectives, organizational structure, and workforce planning to meet the site’s long-term growth and financial objectives.
• Responsible for ensuring client expectations are met and issues involving study execution, quality or reporting are resolved in a way that maximizes client satisfaction.
• Serve as the executive leader and liaison for site expansion projects. Represent the site to government, regulatory agencies, local, state and federal officials, industry groups, key customers and the general public as required
• Perform all other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• 8+ years of experience with increasing levels of responsibility in a pharmaceutical/biotechnology services environment.
• Possess superior leadership skills. Excel at talent acquisition and development and will be the type of leader who inspires people to work to their full potential.
• Understand governmental regulations and guidelines. Knowledge of GMP regulations and other applicable FDA regulations.
• Possess superior business acumen with the ability to understand business strategies and develop operating processes that enable the commercial strategies to be achieved. Elevate the credibility of the site so that clients elicit their expertise.
• Outstanding communication, negotiating, listening and customer service skills with a focus on satisfying customer (both internal and external) needs.
• A highly accessible leader with a supportive, open management style as well as effective coaching and communication skills.
• Be an agent for change who will instill an inclusive, high-performance culture that inspires the development of new ideas and processes. Balance a strategic orientation with an urgency to get things done and meet aggressive milestones.
• Display and inspire scientific rigor and an uncompromising commitment to quality.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.

COMPENSATION DATA

The pay range for this position is $215,000 – 275,000 per year based on experience.
