We at Oracle Life Sciences are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Research Consultant to enhance our CancerMPact and Oncology Epidemiology team. Our platform is trusted by leading pharmaceutical companies, providing essential insights for crucial oncology business decisions through exceptional epidemiological assessment and market analysis.
This position is ideal for mid-career professionals excited about advancing their knowledge and expertise in oncology and life sciences consulting. As a key member of our team, you will engage in research, analytics, and report writing for our syndicated products, and actively participate in custom oncology epidemiology consulting projects to support our clients effectively.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Advanced degree in epidemiology (preferably MPH or Doctorate in Epidemiology).

• 3-5 years of experience in epidemiology analyses and oncology research.

• Proficient in statistical analysis software tools (e.g., SAS, SPSS, or STATA).

• Expertise in software applications like Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel; experience with VBA, SQL Server, or Tableau is a plus.

• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, ideally backed by a degree in mathematics, finance, economics, physics, epidemiology, or statistics.

• Robust oncology research background, including experience in conducting literature reviews.

• Excellent organization and problem-solving skills.

• Experience in quantitative epidemiological and scientific analysis.

• A medical or pharmacy background, along with prior pharmaceutical industry experience, is advantageous.

• Experience in building patient flow models in oncology is a plus.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities:
• Design and assess methodologies for epidemiology research data collection and analysis.

• Utilize knowledge of diagnostic and procedure codes and conduct comprehensive scientific literature reviews.

• Analyze data for patient flow calculations and understand its implications effectively.

• Create advanced quantitative epidemiological models using published and/or registry data to estimate patient populations across specific indications and segments, ensuring models are user-friendly and adaptable.

• Maintain and enhance the foundational database for Oracle Life Science's CancerMPact Patient Metrics.

• Evaluate the impact of clinical, environmental, or market changes on patient populations.

• Prepare insightful reports, visualizing data graphically and translating findings into clear writing.

• Address real-time client queries related to accessing CancerMPact and provide daily support, which may involve occasional travel.

• Collaborate effectively within project teams, contributing to a supportive workplace culture.

• Guide clients and colleagues in grasping the market implications of patient population estimates.

• Engage with clients and internal personnel, particularly in presenting epidemiological analyses.

• Offer continual feedback to improve our epidemiology consulting services.

• Proactively seek additional epidemiology-related projects and contribute to business development initiatives.

• Work under the guidance of senior members of the Oncology Epidemiology Group.

• Effectively manage multiple engagements while balancing client expectations and timelines.
