Job Description

The Senior Physical Therapist at MD Anderson Cancer Center provides direct, professional physical therapy services to hospital and clinical patients. This role has a significant impact on patient treatment, recovery, mobility, and functional outcomes by delivering evidence based interventions that restore movement, relieve pain, promote healing, prevent disability, and support adaptation to permanent physical limitations when needed. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited School of Physical Therapy and three years of experience as a Physical Therapist, including three years of experience in an acute care setting, preferably oncology. The candidate must hold a current Texas Physical Therapy license and maintain Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification. An advanced degree in Physical Therapy or a related field is preferred. The ideal candidate will be available to work 32 hours per week, Monday — Friday. Rehabilitation Services at MD Anderson Cancer Center supports patients across all cancer types and age groups, focusing on optimizing mobility, functional independence, strength, endurance, and overall quality of life. Senior Physical Therapists collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and the interdisciplinary care team to deliver comprehensive oncology focused rehabilitation services.
