Job Description
Job Summary This part‑time position (0.5FTE; 4hrs/day, Monday–Friday) involves remote order review and the implementation and maintenance of clinical pharmacy services for practices within the US Oncology Network.
Key Responsibilities In collaboration with practice leadership, develop and implement strategies to optimize clinical efficacy, appropriate dosing, therapeutic interchange, reimbursement, and other drug‑use initiatives.
Implement mutually agreed upon therapeutic and supportive‑care medication‑use changes within patient‑care settings.
Collaborate with Network practices to implement P&T recommendations and improvements for patient safety.
Function as clinical pharmacist for patient‑specific practice needs.
Identify best practices within the electronic health record for medication review and suggest enhancements.
Lead the development of clinical practice metrics.
Report on clinical interventions and updates on key drug initiatives at practice P&T or applicable leadership meetings.
Minimum Requirements Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree or equivalent; typically requires 4+years of relevant experience.
Active pharmacist license in the United States (Florida preferred).
Board Certified in Oncology (BCOP) preferred.
Residency training preferred.
Ability to work in a self‑directed, remote environment, with periodic travel to client sites and internal meetings.
Critical Skills 4+years of practice in oncology clinical pharmacy.
Experience guiding sound drug‑utilization strategies in oncology.
Experience developing and expanding clinical pharmacy services.
Data‑analytic skills (primary literature review, medication‑use trends, pharmacy practice).
Excellence in developing articulate persuasive arguments based on analysis and consensus recommendations.
Experience collaborating successfully with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other practice staff.
Strong working knowledge of community oncology practices.
Advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Team
