## Role Summary
As a Senior Medical Science Liaison (MSL) on the Breast team, you will report to a regional Field Director. Your responsibilities include disseminating clinical information about Gilead’s innovative oncology products to key opinion leaders, academic institutions, community group practices, healthcare professionals (including allied healthcare members), and professional organizations. The territory for this role is the South Texas Region.
## Key Duties
- Respond to clinical inquiries regarding marketed or developmental Gilead products.
- Develop and present complex scientific and clinical data.
- Identify and develop regional and national opinion leaders to support Gilead products; train Gilead-approved speakers via personal contacts and on-site visits.
- Establish strong relationships with opinion leaders, clinical investigators, and providers at academic and non-academic settings.
- Provide sales force training at national and regional levels.
- Work on Gilead Phase IV programs, collaborating with investigators and internal Gilead personnel.
- Select sites for Phase IV and other clinical trials.
- Anticipate complex obstacles and difficulties that may arise in the field and resolve them collaboratively.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Clinical Research, Global Safety, and Medical Communication.
- Utilize scientific resources to deliver impactful presentations in various settings.
- Travel to appointments, meetings, and conferences on a frequent and regular basis, occasionally on short notice.
- Maintain a deep cognizance of relevant scientific data and regulatory requirements for field-based personnel.
- Engage in continuing education to maintain knowledge base.
- Work as a member of several possibly overlapping teams, such as the national MS team, regional sales team, and national accounts.
- Others both within and outside Gilead may seek your advice and collaboration on complex issues.

## Qualifications
An advanced degree (MD, DO, Pharm. D, Ph. D, NP/PA) is required. Alternatively, a BS in pharmacy or BS/MS nursing with varying levels of clinical and/or industry experience may be accepted. Relevant experience must include at least 5 years of clinical practice experience. Clinical practice/industry experience within the therapeutic area of interest is desirable. Demonstrated ability to work independently, well-developed experience in preparing and delivering presentations, experience in the management or investigation of clinical trials, and clinical patient contact experience are required.
## Compensation
The salary range for this position is $191,250.00 to $247,500.00. Gilead considers various factors such as experience, qualifications, and geographic location when determining base compensation, so actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary by role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
