Job Description
## Join Amgen's Mission of Serving Patients
At Amgen, if you feel like you're part of something bigger, it's because you are. Our shared mission—to serve patients living with serious illnesses—drives all that we do. Since 1980, we've helped pioneer the world of biotech in our fight against the world's toughest diseases. With our focus on four therapeutic areas – Oncology, Inflammation, General Medicine, and Rare Disease – we reach millions of patients each year. Amgen is advancing a broad and deep pipeline of medicines to treat cancer, heart disease, inflammatory conditions, rare diseases, and obesity and obesity-related conditions.
### The Role
We are seeking a **Senior Medical Science Liaison – Oncology** for the South Florida and Puerto Rico territory. In this role, you will interact with healthcare thought leaders to communicate and advance the scientific platform as aligned with Amgen's corporate goals and objectives. You'll provide clinical and economic value information to payers and formulary decision makers, identify and train members of Amgen's speakers' bureau, and ensure they are updated on new data. Responsibilities also include responding to requests for investigator sponsored research proposals, communicating complex cutting-edge scientific information and research concepts to healthcare decision makers at Academic Medical Centers, and supporting Amgen sponsored research.
You'll provide feedback based on field interactions to Amgen stakeholders, offer scientific support consistent with MSL compliance standards for commercial and corporate accounts, and foster scientific relationships between Amgen and Fellows in training. Additionally, you may lead or participate on committees or project teams that support MSL strategies and tactics, mentor MSLs as designated by MSL leadership, and seek opportunities to support the MSL value proposition. Modeling openness and innovation through words, actions, and decisions is key.
### What We're Looking For

- 7 or more years of experience in a medically related field, including 1 or more years focused on clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research (post doctoral training such as residencies and/or fellowships counts)
- 2+ years in a medical science liaison role in a biotech or pharmaceutical company
