Senior Medical Director-Oncology Global Medical Affairs, Multiple Myeloma

Johnson & Johnson Oncology Global Medical Affairs is recruiting for a Senior Medical Director for Multiple Myeloma. The preferred locations are Bridgewater/Raritan, NJ, with remote work options considered on a case‑by‑case basis if approved by the company.

The Senior Medical Director will lead the conduct of a global clinical study using the portfolio of compounds at Johnson & Johnson, with the objective of building curative regimens for patients with multiple myeloma. They will work under the leadership of the Head of Myeloma and Plasma Cell Disorders, Global Medical Affairs, and will collaborate closely with senior R&D clinical leaders and myeloma asset teams.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading protocol development and operational execution of new multiple myeloma clinical studies.

• Driving external engagement with myeloma experts, scientific advocacy, and scientific engagement within the medical community.

• Interpreting and reporting study results, including interactions with health authorities.

• Assessing external clinical research proposals and manuscripts for publication.

• Acting as liaison between the company and clinical investigators.

• Leading the internal study working group for the global study, coordinating with R&D and regional Medical Affairs colleagues.

• Educating and influencing key stakeholders across the organization on study strategy and science.

Qualifications:

• Minimum advanced degree in medicine (M.D. or equivalent).

• Trained Hematologist or Oncologist, or substantial experience in conducting hematology clinical studies.

• At least 3 years’ experience in a clinical research position in an academic research institute or pharmaceutical industry.

• Knowledge of basic and clinical cancer or hematology research and its application to drug development.

• Experience in multiple myeloma and with myeloma experts in the medical community is highly desired.

• Excellent oral, written, and presentation (report development) skills.

• Successful experience in a matrix team environment and leading a cross‑functional study team.

• Strong commitment to hematology/oncology clinical research and ability to work well within a team.

• Up to 20% annual travel (international and domestic).

Benefits and Compensation:

• Competitive base salary range: $164,000.00 – $282,900.00.

• Eligible for annual performance bonus and long‑term incentive program.

• Vacation – up to 120 hours per calendar year.
