Senior Manager, HTA, Value and Evidence (HV&E), Genitourinary Cancer

The Health Technology Assessment (HTA), Value & Evidence (HV&E) team is responsible for ensuring patients have affordable, timely access to medicines and vaccines by advancing innovative value and evidence solutions to inform healthcare decision-making.

The HTA, Value & Evidence Senior Manager is responsible for development and execution of high-quality HV&E strategic efforts to support optimal access and reimbursement for treatments in Oncology. This role directly impacts the ability to achieve business objectives on a global basis by providing strategic guidance and robust evidence development relevant to achieve optimal global patient access by demonstrating the value of Oncology medicines. This position will be part of Pfizer's dynamic HTA Value & Evidence team and will have the important role of managing health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) to generate data to support patient access to the GU Cancer Portfolio.

Working closely with the Oncology cross-functional teams (e.g., access, medical, clinical, commercial, etc.) and country teams, this role fosters a culture that promotes innovation and thrives on doing better for Pfizer's patients and society in general. The position functions in a closely aligned fashion with the Global Access Strategy and Pricing (GASP) team to ensure there is a single and coordinated view on strategy and project execution. It operates with a 'One. Pfizer' mindset and works with Oncology cross-functional team members to ensure there is a single and coordinated view on strategy and delivery from the team to the Oncology business.

Key elements of the role include:

- Supporting the development of the Global HTA Value & Evidence Strategy in close partnership with cross-functional teams

- Managing execution of clinically relevant and scientifically valid Value & Evidence studies and projects (including non-interventional studies, registries, etc.) in alignment with the global Value & Evidence Strategy to demonstrate the value proposition catered to diverse stakeholders (regulators, payers, patients, physicians, and policy makers)

- Leading updates of tools including global value dossiers (GVDs), economic models, and innovative tools to support value proposition

- Developing real world evidence generation strategies and executing studies to support brand differentiation and value proposition

- Supporting the coordination of input from local country/regional Access & Value teams on evidence needs and ensuring that input is appropriately incorporated to support demonstration of product value and optimize patient access

- Leading the development of data dissemination plans and communicating, in a timely manner, evidence generated for various stakeholders via publications and conference presentations

Candidates should demonstrate a breadth of diverse capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of external stakeholders to achieve meaningful outcomes, and create business impact. A graduate degree is required (e.g., MSc, MPH, Ph. D, Dr. PH) in an HEOR-relevant field such as health services research, health economics, epidemiology, pharmacy administration/pharmaceutical policy, or other research-focused public health field.

Experience requirements are 2+ years with an MSc/MPH/MBA degree, or 1+ year with a Pharm. D/Ph. D/Dr. PH in HEOR or relevant related fields (health economics, epidemiology, health services research, or other research-focused public health field). The role requires an advanced understanding of HEOR concepts, fundamental health services research methods (e.g., health economics, patient reported outcomes, research study design, database analyses, epidemiology, and statistics), data interpretation and external environmental trends influencing health care/pharmaceuticals in key markets worldwide.

Strong project management skills (contracting, budgeting, vendor management) are needed, along with a demonstrated ability to oversee small project teams and leadership exposure. A demonstrated advanced understanding of project execution is expected, with the ability to manage multiple projects involving complex processes, significant budget, competing deadlines and rapidly shifting priorities. Excellent interpersonal skills are required, including the ability to understand and respond to multiple internal and external customers and influence in a matrix environment. Excellent oral and written English communication skills are required, and candidates should be skilled in functioning within a matrix organization where managing through influence is required.

Preferred qualifications include experience with clinical trials, patient reported outcomes, and real-world study design and implementation; knowledge and experience in Oncology; experience with HTA organizations such as NICE, CADTH, PBAC, ICER and other HTA groups including EU JCA; experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry; and completion of an HEOR-related fellowship.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $139,100.00 to $231,900.00. In addition, the position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 17.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
