Job Summary

Senior Manager, Strategic Alliances – Global Medical Oncology Portfolio & Alliance Strategy (PAS). Report to Senior Director, Alliance Strategy. Accountable for supporting and executing the external alliance vision to advance BMS Oncology’s portfolio ambition.
Key Responsibilities
• Support long‑range, portfolio‑shaping collaborations aligned with BMS oncology strategy.
• Manage priority alliances alongside Directors of Strategic Alliances and ensure alignment with oncology/hematology portfolio priorities.
• Provide support and oversight for SPARC council & alliances strategy, governance, communications and engagements.
• Manage strategic engagement with priority academic partners, including joint data‑generation roadmaps and co‑development of proposals.
• Ensure alliance‑derived insights are integrated into key oncology decision forums (e.g., portfolio prioritization, MEG, CDP, GPT).
• Advance organizational knowledge of unique capabilities of key alliance partners.
• Serve as liaison to Professional Societies and Portfolio Strategy Teams for support of key professional societies and congresses.
Qualifications & Experience
• Advanced degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, etc.) in a scientific discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in oncology drug development, medical strategy, portfolio strategy, or related roles, with exposure to multiple tumor types or hematological malignancies.
• Demonstrated credibility engaging senior external experts, academic investigators, and oncology thought leaders, and translating insights into strategic recommendations.
• Strong understanding of oncology development pathways, biomarkers, and decision‑making frameworks across early and/or late‑stage development.
• Proven ability to lead strategically, influence without authority, and drive alignment across highly matrixed global organizations.
• Track record of collaborating cross‑functionally to execute and deliver results in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment while managing multiple priorities.
• Fluency in digital tools, emerging technologies, and AI applications, with ability to leverage these capabilities across projects and decision‑making.
Position Details
• HQ‑based position with approximately 10% travel.
• Hybrid work model possible.
• Compensation range for Princeton, NJ: $131,330 – $159,135 (additional incentive cash and stock opportunities may be available).
