Job Summary:

As a Senior Lead Radiation Therapist, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality radiation therapy under the direction of the Radiation Oncologist. You will assist with dosimetric calculations, treatment planning, and quality assurance, while also leading day-to-day operations within the department. Your expertise will provide vital support to our healthcare team, ensuring that patients receive the best care possible.

Job Requirements:
• Education and Work Experience:
• Bachelor's Degree in radiation oncology or equivalent: Preferred
• Master's Degree: Preferred
• Five years' technical experience: Preferred
• Two years' leadership experience: Preferred
• Licenses/Certifications:
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy (AART-T) and Certification of Therapeutic Radiology Technology (RTT): Required
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Preferred
• ARRT-Radiation Therapy (ARRT-T): Required
• Therapeutic Radiologic Technology Certification (TRT): Required
• Facility Specific License/Certifications:
• Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS): Required

Essential Functions:
• Schedule patients for treatment, operate linear accelerators and CT scanners, and deliver prescribed radiation therapy. Ensure patient comfort and communicate treatment procedures effectively.
• Prepare treatment rooms and equipment according to prescribed protocols and provide individualized care according to patient needs.
• Monitor patients for any unusual reactions during treatment and report them to the supervisor and department physician.
• Maintain accurate treatment records and ensure patient charts are up-to-date to eliminate errors.
• Provide clinical supervision and evaluate the practical abilities of students.
• Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.
